In partnership with Roman Guard Construction, Folkhouse undertook the redesign of the Master Bath and adjoining Powder Bath in a stunning residence. Additionally, they transformed a former Dining Room into a "gear room" tailored for the active lifestyle of the client, accommodating mountain bikes, snowboards, and outerwear.
Folkhouse recognized an underutilized space adjacent to the central fireplace to create a dining area that enhances access to mountain views and integrates seamlessly with the living space, reflecting the client's preference for a more casual and communal environment.
In the Master Bath, Folkhouse modernized the area by removing outdated finishes, an inset tub, and a peculiarly tiled round steel column. The redesigned space now features an enclosed, fully tiled "wet room" with a rainhead and handheld shower, complemented by a striking soaking tub. An added screened opening to the Master Bedroom enhances spaciousness and provides a serene view of the surrounding trees during bathing.
Within the Living and Dining areas, Folkhouse collaborated closely with the client to select lounge furniture and commissioned a bespoke live-edge slab dining table from Boulder Furniture Arts.
Together, Folkhouse, Roman Guard Construction, and the client successfully revitalized an outdated 1980s mountain home, imbuing it with a contemporary aesthetic that celebrates its natural surroundings.
